The fame Chelada Baboon also known as the bleeding hearted Monkey is native to Ethiopia & can be seen in large groups within the Simien Mountains National park.  Chelada baboons have the highest recorded verity of sounds used to communicate amongst each other. The alpha male who is in charge of mating & looking after the family when he loss for the young once he is still well come to join the group again only to look after the offspring , which is distinctive only to this baboons.  Walia Ibex exclusively endemic to Simien Mountains National Park is also the other native specious you will find thrilling to see.

Simien Mountains is by far the best place to trek for those who admire nature & wilderness. The hike is considered as moderate but for those who might want a hard trek longer than four days is recommended.
